So, what is tijm?
Tijm, also known as Thyme, is a small, aromatic herb that is commonly used in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and European cuisine. Its leaves are small, grey-green, and slightly curved, with a pungent, earthy flavor and a subtle minty undertone. Tijm is a versatile ingredient that can be used fresh or dried, and is often used to add depth and complexity to dishes such as stews, soups, and roasted meats. It is also commonly used as a seasoning for vegetables, sauces, and dressings. In addition to its culinary uses, Tijm has a long history of medicinal use and is known to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
