So, what is тимьян?
Тимьян, also known as thyme in English, is a fragrant herb commonly used in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. Its tiny, delicate leaves are packed with a potent flavor that can be described as slightly sweet, earthy, and slightly peppery. This herb is often used to season meats, vegetables, soups, and sauces, and is a key ingredient in classic dishes such as French ratatouille and Italian marinara sauce. In addition to its culinary uses, thyme is also known for its medicinal properties, with some studies suggesting that it may have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant effects.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
