So, what is tongue?
Tongue, also known as beef tongue or ox tongue, is a delicacy enjoyed in various cultures worldwide. This muscle is found in the mouth of cows and other animals and has a rich, tender texture that lends itself well to slow cooking. The meat is mild in flavor, with a slightly sweet and salty taste, making it a versatile ingredient in a range of dishes. Tongue is often sliced thin and served cold, making it an ideal addition to charcuterie boards or sandwiches. It can also be cooked and served warm with a variety of sauces and seasonings for a hearty, comforting meal.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
