So, what is tuky?
Tuky is a traditional food ingredient commonly used in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. It is a rich and flavorful clarified butter that is made by simmering unsalted butter until the milk solids separate and are removed, leaving behind a pure, golden liquid. Tuky has a high smoke point, which makes it ideal for cooking and frying, and adds a unique nutty and slightly sweet flavor to dishes. Due to its high fat content, tuky is best used in moderation, but it can enhance the taste and texture of a wide variety of recipes, from roasted vegetables to baked goods.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
