So, what is veal?
Veal is a tender and delicate meat that comes from young calves raised for their meat. It is known for its pale pink color, fine texture, and mild flavor. Veal is a lean source of protein and rich in vitamins and minerals like iron, zinc, and vitamin B12. Due to its delicate taste, it is often served with light sauces or seasoned simply with herbs and spices. It's also a versatile ingredient that can be used in various dishes, from stews to roasts, and even as a substitute for beef in some recipes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
