So, what is vehnänalkio?
Vehnänalkio, also known as wheat germ, is a nutrient-rich part of the wheat kernel. It is the embryonic center of the wheat plant and contains high levels of protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Wheat germ has a nutty, slightly sweet flavor and a delicate texture. It is commonly used as a nutritional supplement, added to smoothies, yogurt, and cereal. Wheat germ can also be used as a substitute for breadcrumbs or as a healthy addition to baked goods. Its abundance of antioxidants makes it a popular ingredient for promoting healthy skin and supporting the immune system.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
