So, what is węglan amonu?
Węglan amonu, also known as ammonium carbonate, is a white crystalline powder with a strong odor of ammonia. It's commonly used as a leavening agent in baked goods due to its ability to release carbon dioxide gas when heated. This results in a lighter texture and increased volume in the final product. Additionally, węglan amonu can act as a pH adjuster and is sometimes used as a component in smelling salts. However, it should be handled with care as it is toxic when ingested or inhaled in large amounts.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
