So, what is yoghurt?
Yoghurt is a tangy, creamy dairy product made by fermenting milk with live bacterial cultures. This process results in the formation of lactic acid, which thickens and preserves the yogurt while giving it its characteristic tart flavor. Yoghurt is rich in protein, calcium, and probiotics, which promote healthy digestion and immune function. It's a versatile ingredient that can be eaten plain, used as a base for dips and sauces, or incorporated into baked goods and smoothies. Whether enjoyed as a snack or used as a cooking ingredient, yoghurt is a nutritious addition to any diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
