So, what is zaad?
Zaad is a traditional African spice mix that adds a unique flavor and aroma to a variety of dishes. It is a combination of toasted sesame seeds, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and other spices that are carefully blended to create a rich, nutty, and slightly smoky flavor. Zaad is commonly used in North African, Ethiopian, and Middle Eastern cuisines to season stews, meats, vegetables, and even bread. Besides adding depth of flavor, zaad also offers health benefits such as antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. This versatile spice mix can be used as a rub, marinade, or seasoning and is a must-have in any spice collection.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
