So, what is زبدة?
زبدة is a rich and creamy ingredient commonly used in many Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines. Also known by its English name, butter, it is made by churning cream or milk until the fat separates from the liquid. With its high-fat content and smooth texture, زبدة adds depth of flavor and a velvety mouthfeel to both sweet and savory dishes. It can be used as a spread on bread, melted into sauces or baked goods, or even whipped into a luxurious frosting. Not only is زبدة delicious, but it also contains important vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin A and calcium.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
