So, what is zitronen?
Zitronen is the German word for lemons, a vibrant and versatile citrus fruit known for its sour, tangy flavor and refreshing scent. These fruits are typically small to medium-sized with a bright yellow peel that becomes thinner and smoother towards the bottom. The flesh inside is juicy, acidic, and packed with Vitamin C. Zitronen are a popular ingredient in many dishes, adding a zesty kick to everything from desserts to savory entrees. They can be sliced, squeezed, zested, or even candied to add a burst of citrusy flavor to any recipe.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
