So, what is zuckerrübe?
Zuckerrübe, also known as sugar beet, is a root vegetable that is primarily grown for its high sugar content. With a round shape and a deep purple-red exterior, zuckerrübe has a crisp and juicy white interior that is perfect for making sugar, as well as other culinary creations. Zuckerrübe is a versatile ingredient that can be boiled, roasted, or even grated raw for use in salads or coleslaws. In addition to its culinary uses, zuckerrübe is also used in the production of biofuels and animal feed, making it an important crop with multiple applications.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
