So, what is blue cheeses?
Blue cheeses are a type of cheese characterized by the presence of blue or green mold veins running throughout the cheese. These veins are actually colonies of Penicillium bacteria, which are intentionally introduced into the cheese during the curing process. The flavor of blue cheese can range from mild and creamy to pungent and tangy, depending on the specific type and aging time. Some popular varieties of blue cheese include Roquefort, Gorgonzola, and Stilton. Blue cheese is often used as a topping or ingredient in salads, sandwiches, and pasta dishes, as well as being enjoyed on its own with crackers or bread.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
