So, what is caseinates?
Caseinates are a group of proteins derived from milk that are commonly used as food additives. These proteins have excellent emulsifying, foaming, and thickening properties, making them ideal for use in a variety of food products such as cheese, yogurt, and processed meats. They are also often used as an ingredient in sports nutrition supplements due to their slow digestibility and high amino acid content, which can help support muscle growth and recovery. Caseinates come in various forms, including sodium caseinate and calcium caseinate, with each offering unique functional properties.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
