So, what is dates?
Dates are a sweet, chewy fruit that come from the date palm tree. They have been cultivated for thousands of years and are a staple food in many Middle Eastern and North African countries. Dates are high in natural sugars, fiber, and various vitamins and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, and vitamin B6. Due to their sweet flavor and sticky texture, they are often used in desserts such as cakes, cookies, and energy bars. Dates can also be enjoyed on their own as a healthy snack or used as a natural sweetener in recipes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
