So, what is sea-salt?

Sea salt is a natural salt harvested from evaporated seawater. Unlike table salt, it retains trace minerals like magnesium, calcium, and potassium, giving it a more complex flavor profile. It is often used as a finishing salt to add texture and enhance the taste of dishes. Sea salt can vary in color and texture depending on the location it is harvested from, with varieties ranging from fine and white to coarse and gray. Due to its high mineral content and unique flavor, sea salt has become a popular ingredient in gourmet cuisine and is believed to have potential health benefits such as improving digestion and reducing inflammation.
