So, what is des panais?
Des panais, also known as parsnips, are a root vegetable that belong to the same family as carrots, celery, and parsley. They have a creamy white color and a unique, slightly sweet flavor that is often compared to that of carrots. Parsnips are a great source of fiber, vitamins C and K, and folate, making them a nutritious addition to any dish. They are commonly roasted or mashed, but can also be used in soups, stews, and even desserts. When cooked, parsnips develop a tender, velvety texture and a caramelized flavor that pairs well with savory herbs and spices.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
