So, what is lavas?

Lavas, also known as lavaş or yufka, is a traditional Middle Eastern flatbread made from simple ingredients such as flour, water, and salt. This unleavened bread has a thin, flexible texture and is often used to wrap savory meats, vegetables, and cheeses in dishes like kebab and dürüm. Lavas is a versatile ingredient that can also be torn into pieces and used as a scoop for dips and spreads or grilled and topped with herbs and spices. Its delicate, slightly chewy texture and mild flavor make it a perfect accompaniment to any meal.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like lavas?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
