So, what is levaduras?
Levaduras, or yeast in English, is a type of single-celled fungus that has been used in baking and fermentation for centuries. It plays a crucial role in the production of various types of bread, beer, and wine, as it converts sugars into carbon dioxide and alcohol through the process of fermentation. Different types of yeast are used for different purposes, such as instant yeast for quick bread making or sourdough starters for traditional bread baking. Besides its culinary uses, yeast also has various health benefits, as it is a rich source of B vitamins and can help improve gut health.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
