So, what is pepinos?
Pepinos, also known as "cucumbers" in English, are a refreshing and versatile ingredient commonly used in salads, sandwiches, and dips. With a thin, crisp skin and a mild, slightly sweet flavor, pepinos provide a delicious crunch and are a great source of hydration due to their high water content. They are also low in calories and packed with nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin K, and potassium. Pepinos can be enjoyed raw or cooked, pickled or sliced, making them a must-have ingredient in any kitchen.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
