So, what is portobellos?
Portobello mushrooms, also known as "meat of the woods," are a type of mushroom that are widely used in vegetarian and vegan cuisine. These mushrooms have a large, firm cap with a dense meaty texture, making them an excellent meat substitute in dishes such as burgers, sandwiches, and stews. Portobellos have a bold earthy flavor that is enhanced when roasted or grilled, and they can be seasoned with a variety of herbs and spices to add depth to any dish. They are also rich in nutrients such as fiber, protein, vitamins B and D, and minerals like copper and potassium, making them a healthy addition to any diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
