So, what is acesulfame d potassium?
Acesulfame potassium, also known as acesulfame K or Ace-K, is a calorie-free sweetener that is commonly used as an alternative to sugar. It is about 200 times sweeter than table sugar and is often blended with other sweeteners to create a more sugar-like taste. Ace-K is stable at high temperatures and is therefore suitable for use in cooking and baking. It is also commonly used in beverages, such as soft drinks, and in chewing gum. Some studies have raised concerns about the safety of Ace-K, but regulatory agencies consider it safe for consumption in moderate amounts.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
