So, what is acêtate de sodium?
Acetate de sodium is a chemical compound commonly used in food manufacturing as a food additive and preservative. This white crystalline powder has a slightly sweet taste and is derived from acetic acid, a main component of vinegar. It is generally recognized as safe by regulatory agencies and is added to a variety of foods, including baked goods, sauces, and seasonings. In addition to its use in food, acetate de sodium has numerous industrial applications, including as a buffering agent in the production of dyes, pharmaceuticals, and textiles.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
