So, what is acetato de calcio?
Acetato de calcio, or calcium acetate, is a white crystalline powder that is commonly used as a food additive and preservative. It is a source of calcium, which is an essential mineral that supports strong bones and teeth, nerve function, and muscle contraction. Calcium acetate is often added to baked goods, cheese, and other dairy products to improve their texture and shelf life. It is also used as a sequestrant, preventing the formation of crystals and improving the stability of foods. Calcium acetate is considered safe for consumption in moderate amounts and is an important ingredient in many processed foods.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
