So, what is acid izoascorbic?
Izoascorbic acid, also known as erythorbic acid, is a type of acid that is commonly used as a food preservative and antioxidant. It is a white or slightly yellowish powder that is water-soluble and stable at high temperatures. Izoascorbic acid is often used in processed meats, such as hot dogs and sausages, to prevent the oxidation of fats and to maintain their color and freshness. It can also be found in some fruit juices, canned fruits, and baked goods. Izoascorbic acid is considered safe for consumption and is approved by regulatory agencies such as the FDA.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
