So, what is acidulant citrique?
Acidulant citrique, also known as citric acid, is a natural food ingredient commonly used in food and beverage production as a flavor enhancer, preservative, and pH adjuster. It is a weak organic acid found naturally in citrus fruits and some vegetables, but can also be produced through microbial fermentation. Acidulant citrique has a tart and acidic taste, making it a popular ingredient in sour candies, soft drinks, and many other food products. It is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by regulatory agencies and is considered a versatile and essential ingredient in the food industry.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
