So, what is aluminium calcium silicate?
Aluminium calcium silicate is a food additive that acts as an anti-caking agent, preventing clumping in powdered products like spices and baking mixes. It is made from a combination of aluminium oxide, calcium oxide, and silicon dioxide, which are combined to create a fine, white powder. Aluminium calcium silicate is considered safe for consumption by regulatory agencies around the world, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It has no discernible taste or odor and does not affect the nutritional value of the foods it is added to.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
