So, what is barley?
Barley is a versatile and nutritious cereal grain that has been cultivated for thousands of years. Its chewy texture and nutty flavor make it a popular ingredient in soups, stews, salads, and baked goods. Barley is high in fiber, protein, and important vitamins and minerals, including magnesium, selenium, and iron. It is also a good source of antioxidants and has been linked to a reduced risk of heart disease and diabetes. Barley can be cooked as a whole grain, ground into flour for baking, or malted for use in brewing beer and whiskey.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
