So, what is beurre fondu?
Beurre fondu is a French term that translates to "melted butter." It is a versatile ingredient used in various culinary applications, such as sautéing vegetables, basting meats, and making sauces. Beurre fondu can be made by gently heating unsalted butter until it melts and separates into its components: milk solids, water, and butterfat. The milk solids are then removed, leaving behind clarified butter, which has a higher smoke point and a richer flavor than regular butter. Its nutty aroma and taste make it an excellent choice for adding depth and richness to dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
