So, what is bietola?
Bietola, also known as Swiss chard, is a leafy green vegetable that is commonly used in Mediterranean cuisine. It has large, dark green leaves with vibrant, colorful stalks that range from red to yellow to white. Bietola has a slightly bitter taste and a tender texture, making it a versatile ingredient that can be sautéed, steamed, or even roasted. It is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as minerals such as iron, calcium, and magnesium. Bietola is a great addition to salads, soups, and pasta dishes, and its striking appearance adds a pop of color to any plate.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
