So, what is blåbär?
Blåbär, also known as bilberries, are small, dark blue berries that grow on low bushes in cold and damp environments. Native to Northern Europe, these flavorful berries are a rich source of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, including vitamin C, potassium, and iron. Blåbär have a slightly tart taste with a hint of sweetness, making them a popular ingredient in jams, jellies, pies, and baked goods. In addition to their culinary uses, blåbär have also been traditionally used for medicinal purposes, with some studies suggesting they may help improve cognitive function and reduce inflammation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
