So, what is presure microbienne?
"Pressure microbienne" is a French term that translates to "microbial pressure" in English. It refers to the use of beneficial microorganisms in food production to create unique flavors, aromas, and textures. This method involves applying a controlled amount of pressure to the food to create an environment that encourages the growth of desirable bacteria, yeasts, and fungi, while inhibiting the growth of harmful microorganisms. The resulting food products are typically more complex and flavorful, with enhanced nutritional benefits. Pressure microbienne is commonly used in the production of fermented foods, such as cheese, yogurt, and sourdough bread.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
