So, what is calcium sulphate?

Calcium sulfate is a food ingredient commonly used as a firming agent, stabilizer, and coagulating agent. It is a naturally occurring mineral that is mined from geological formations and can also be produced synthetically. In food, it is used to add texture and thickness to products such as tofu, cheese, and baked goods. Calcium sulfate is also used in the brewing industry as a source of sulfate ions for beer production. It is safe for consumption and has no known adverse effects on human health. Additionally, calcium sulfate is an excellent source of calcium, an essential mineral for strong bones and teeth.
