So, what is aluminium sodium sulphate?

Aluminium sodium sulphate, also known as soda alum or sodium aluminum sulfate, is a white crystalline powder with a slightly sweet and astringent taste. It is commonly used as a food additive to help regulate acidity levels, improve the texture of baked goods, and enhance the appearance of pickles and other canned foods. Aluminium sodium sulphate is also used in water treatment processes, paper manufacturing, and as an ingredient in some personal care products. While generally recognized as safe by regulatory bodies, excessive consumption of aluminium sodium sulphate may cause adverse health effects in some individuals.
