So, what is calciumpropionaat?
Calcium propionate is a food preservative commonly used in baked goods, dairy products, and processed meats. It is the calcium salt of propionic acid, a naturally occurring organic acid found in some foods and produced by certain bacteria. Calcium propionate helps prevent mold and bacterial growth, extending the shelf life of these products. Additionally, it does not affect the taste or texture of the food. Studies have shown that calcium propionate is safe for consumption and has no adverse effects on human health when used within recommended levels.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
