So, what is calendula?
Calendula, also known as marigold, is a vibrant flowering plant commonly used in herbal medicine and cooking. Its beautiful yellow and orange petals are packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that make it a popular ingredient in skincare products. In cooking, calendula adds a slightly bitter, yet floral flavor to dishes and can be used in teas, salads, and soups. It's also often used as a natural food coloring agent. With its versatility and numerous health benefits, it's no surprise that calendula has been a staple in traditional medicine and cuisine for centuries.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
