So, what is cane invert syrup?
Cane invert syrup is a natural sweetener made from the juice of sugarcane. It is produced by heating cane sugar with water and an acid, which breaks down the sucrose into its constituent parts: glucose and fructose. The resulting syrup is sweeter than regular sugar and has a higher moisture content, making it an excellent ingredient for adding sweetness and moistness to baked goods. Cane invert syrup is also used in the production of confectionery, beverages, and sauces. It has a mild, caramel-like flavor and a deep golden color, adding a unique taste and appearance to any dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
