So, what is carbamid?
Carbamid, also known as urea, is an organic compound with the chemical formula CO(NH2)2. It is a crystalline substance that is odorless, colorless, and highly soluble in water. Carbamid has various uses in the food industry, including as a nitrogen source for microorganisms in the production of cheese and as a flavor enhancer in baked goods. It is also used as a fertilizer for crops and in the synthesis of certain chemicals. Despite its various applications, excessive consumption of carbamid can have adverse effects on human health, so it is important to use it in moderation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
