So, what is cebollino?

Cebollino, also known as chives, is a versatile herb commonly used in culinary applications for its mild onion flavor and attractive appearance. This slender, grass-like herb is a member of the allium family, which includes onions, garlic, and leeks. Cebollino features long, thin green stems that grow up to 30 centimeters in length and bear tiny, star-shaped flowers in the summer months. This herb is rich in vitamins A and C and contains minerals such as calcium, potassium, and iron. Cebollino adds a fresh and subtle onion flavor to a variety of dishes, including salads, soups, sauces, and marinades.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like cebollino?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
