So, what is cera d'api?
Cera d'api is an Italian term that refers to beeswax, a natural ingredient made by honeybees. This waxy substance is produced in the bee's wax glands and is used to build honeycombs. Beeswax has a sweet, honey-like aroma and a golden color. It is often used in cosmetics and skincare products due to its moisturizing and protective properties. Additionally, it can be used as a natural preservative for food and pharmaceuticals. Beeswax is considered a sustainable and eco-friendly material due to its renewable nature and biodegradability.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
