So, what is cicely?
Cicely, also known as sweet cicely or myrrh, is a versatile herb with a distinct aniseed flavor. Its fern-like leaves and delicate white flowers make it a beautiful addition to any garden. Cicely is commonly used in Scandinavian and Eastern European cuisines to flavor fish dishes, soups, stews, and desserts. It can also be used to enhance the flavor of fruits, such as strawberries and rhubarb. In addition to its culinary uses, cicely has been traditionally used for medicinal purposes, particularly as a remedy for digestive issues and as a natural breath freshener.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
