So, what is citronellol?
Citronellol is a natural acyclic monoterpene alcohol found in the essential oils of various plants, including rose, geranium, and lemongrass. It has a pleasant floral scent and is used widely in the fragrance industry as a key component in perfumes, soaps, and other cosmetic products. Citronellol also possesses antimicrobial properties, making it a popular ingredient in many food products like beverages, ice cream, and confectionery items. Additionally, citronellol is known to have therapeutic benefits, such as reducing stress and anxiety, due to its calming aroma.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
