So, what is comte?
Comte is a type of hard cheese made from unpasteurized cow's milk in the Comte region of France. This cheese has a nutty, fruity flavor and a smooth texture, with a slight hint of saltiness. The cheese's distinctive taste is a result of the aging process, which can last anywhere from four months to two years. Comte is a versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of dishes, from salads and sandwiches to soups and stews. It is also an excellent cheese for melting, making it a popular choice for fondue and other hot dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
