So, what is cresson?
Cresson, also known as watercress, is a nutrient-dense, leafy green vegetable that is part of the Brassicaceae family. This aquatic plant is commonly found near springs, streams, and other bodies of water. Cresson has a peppery taste that is reminiscent of mustard greens, making it a popular ingredient in salads, sandwiches, and soups. It is a good source of vitamins A, C, and K, as well as iron and calcium. Cresson is also believed to have anti-inflammatory properties and has been used in traditional medicine for centuries to treat various ailments.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
