So, what is de kiwi?

Kiwi, also known as Chinese gooseberry, is a small oval-shaped fruit with brown fuzzy skin and vibrant green flesh. It is native to China but is now widely cultivated in New Zealand, Italy, and California. Kiwis are a good source of vitamin C, dietary fiber, and antioxidants. The tangy, sweet flavor and refreshing texture of kiwi make it a popular ingredient in fruit salads, smoothies, and desserts. Kiwis are also a great addition to savory dishes, such as salsa or chutney, and can be used as a natural meat tenderizer due to the enzyme actinidin present in them.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like de kiwi?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
