So, what is des petits pois?
Des petits pois is a French term for what is commonly known as peas. These small, spherical, and green legumes are a popular ingredient in various cuisines, from traditional French dishes like pea soup and ratatouille to Indian curries and British pies. They are a good source of protein, fiber, and vitamins, making them a nutritious addition to any meal. With a slightly sweet and earthy flavor, des petits pois can be cooked in many ways, such as steaming, boiling, sautéing, or roasting, and can be enjoyed as a side dish, salad topping, or in a main course.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
