So, what is dimethyl palmitamine?
Dimethyl palmitamine is a versatile food ingredient that is derived from palmitic acid, a common saturated fatty acid found in many animal and vegetable fats. This clear, colorless liquid has a faint odor and is soluble in a variety of solvents. Due to its excellent emollient properties, dimethyl palmitamine is often used in cosmetic and personal care products, as well as in food formulations such as emulsifiers, stabilizers, and thickeners. It is also used as a lubricant, anti-static agent, and conditioning agent. Dimethyl palmitamine is considered safe for human consumption and is approved by several regulatory bodies.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
