So, what is dinkel?
Dinkel, also known as spelt, is an ancient whole grain that has been cultivated for thousands of years. It is a distant cousin of wheat, but has a nuttier, slightly sweeter taste and a firmer texture. Dinkel is a good source of fiber, protein, and essential nutrients such as iron, magnesium, and zinc. It is also lower in gluten than modern wheat varieties, making it a popular alternative for those with gluten sensitivities. Dinkel can be used in a variety of recipes, including bread, pasta, and baked goods, adding both nutritional value and delicious flavor.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
