So, what is dried chilli?
Dried chilli is a versatile ingredient used in various cuisines around the world. These fiery peppers are harvested at their peak, then left to air dry until all the moisture is removed, intensifying their heat and flavor. Dried chillies come in different shapes, sizes, and colors, from smoky chipotles to tangy Thai bird's eye chili. They add depth, complexity, and a spicy kick to dishes like soups, stews, sauces, marinades, rubs, and more. To use dried chilli, you can either rehydrate them by soaking in hot water or toast and grind them into powder.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
