So, what is dulse?
Dulse is a type of edible seaweed that is found along the coasts of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. It has a rich, smoky flavor that is often compared to bacon, making it a popular ingredient for vegan and vegetarian dishes. Dulse is highly nutritious, containing vitamins A, B6, B12, C, and E, as well as minerals such as iodine, potassium, and magnesium. It can be eaten raw or cooked, and is often used as a garnish or added to salads, soups, and stir-fries. Dulse is also commonly used as a seasoning for seafood dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
